The 1976 Tehran UFO incident on wikipedia, tells a highly credible and interesting account of one of the most undeniable visits we have had from another part of space.

It does indeed sound genuine. And why not. Really, why not? Take a look at a great article by Steve Hammons writing for the americanchronicle.com.

It does outline some really interesting and sober points about this whole issue about our little sphere in the universe.

Vimanas - Ancient Flying Machine

"The description of these machines in old Indian texts are amazingly precise. The difficulty we are faced with today is basically that the texts mention various metals and alloys which we cannot translate. We do not know what our ancestors understood by them. In the Amarangasutradhara five flying machines were originally built for the gods Brahma, Vishnu, Yama, Kuvera and Indra. Later there were some additions. Four main types of flying Vimanas are described: Rukma, Sundara, Tripura and Sakuna. The Rukma were conical in shape and dyed gold, whereas the Sundata were like rockets and had a silver sheen. The Tripura were three-storeyed and the Sakuna looked like birds. There were 113 subdivisions of these four main types that differed only in minor details. The position and functioning of the solar energy collectors are described in the Vaimanika Shastra. It says that eight tubes had to be made of special glass absorbing the sun’s ray. A whole series of details are listed, some of which we do not understand. The Amaranganasutradhara even explains the drive, the controls and the fuel for the flying machine. It says that quicksilver and ‘Rasa’ were used. Unfortunately we do not yet know what “Rasa’ was. Ten sections deal with uncannily topical themes such as pilot training, flight paths, the individual parts of flying machines, as well as clothing for pilots and passengers, and the food recommended for long flights. There was much technical detail: the metals used, heat-absorbing metals and their melting point, the propulsion units and various types of flying machines. The information about metals used in construction name three sorts, somala, soundaalika and mourthwika. If they were mixed in the right proportions, the result was 16 kinds of heat-absorbing metals with names like ushnambhara, ushnapaa, raajaamlatrit, etc. which cannot be translated into English. The texts also explained how to clean metals, the acids such as lemon or apple to be used and the correct mixture, the right oils to work with and the correct temperature for them. Seven types of engine are described with the special functions for which they are suited and the altitudes at which they work best. The catalogue is not short of data about the size of the machines, which had storeys, nor of their suitability for various purposes. "

The title of this post is the name of a very weird, possibly mind controlling, microbe. A parasite that infects many different species on this planet. Researchers have observed that once the microbe has infected a rat, the rat will be more likely to seek out a cat(!). The cat happens to be the only suitable host for the microbe to complete it's reproductive process.

This microbe also exists in humans and different studies suggest that humans infected by the microbe are more likley to become schizophrenic, and in women, change the standard ratio of male vs. female births on an average, in the favor of males.

This is all very odd and twisted. The mind altering bug seems to be one of those little things we might have overlooked, and personally I am quite convinced that similiar microbes and parasites, exists in many different places, plants and animals. And there's basically no telling how they might influence or affect us.

Free Dawit Isaak!

Swedish citizen Dawit Isaak has been imprisoned in Eritrea for 2000 days so far. He has not had any trial nor has he been convicted for anything. He was arrested for simply being a journalist. Today top Swedish newspapers are publishing a co-ordinated plea to politicians to put pressure on the Eritrean government to release Dawit.

I am hereby joining in that effort to pressure the Swedish, in some cases a cowardly, government, into action!

I vantan pa varmen

Denna post handlar lite om uppvarmingen av planeten som vi bor pa.. Ledsamt nog leder detta oss in i en tidsalder av varm forandring. Till exempel sa kan manga arter komma att forlora sina naturliga hem och pa sa satt bli utrotade pa sikt. Dessutom har det rapporterats om trad som borjat vaxa vid polerna och isberg som smalter med hisnande hastighet.

En av manga anledningar till uppvarmingen har sagts vara utslapp av olika slag. Till detta hor ju flygplanens utslapp.

Min poang har ar att man inte ska flyga mer an absolut nodvandigt.
